Indications for Use

JADE SCORE PTA Scoring Balloon Dilatation Catheter is indicated for Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty in the peripheral vasculature, including iliac, femoral, ilio-femoral, popliteal, infra-popliteal, and renal arteries and for the treatment of obstructive lesions of native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae.

Device Story

JADE SCORE PTA Scoring Balloon Dilatation Catheter is a peripheral angioplasty device; available in 14 Rx (0.014-inch guidewire) and 18 OTW (0.018-inch guidewire) versions. Device features a scoring element designed to focus dilatation force on obstructive lesions in peripheral arteries and dialysis fistulae. Operated by physicians in clinical settings; catheter is inserted over a guidewire to the target lesion site; balloon is inflated to perform angioplasty. Scoring element enhances lesion dilation; device facilitates improved blood flow; benefits patients by treating obstructive vascular disease. Output is mechanical dilatation of the vessel.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. No clinical data provided. In vitro performance testing conducted per FDA guidance 'Peripheral Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) and Specialty Catheters' (April 2023) included visual inspection, dimensional verification, flexibility/kink, shaft burst, torque strength, bond strength, leakage, corrosion resistance, radiopacity, simulated use (prep/deployment/retraction), inflation/deflation time, coating integrity, particulate evaluation, rated burst pressure, fatigue, and compliance. Packaging, sterilization, and shelf-life validation were also performed. All results met acceptance criteria.

Technological Characteristics

Catheter-based scoring balloon system. Features include scoring elements for focused force, hydrophilic coating, and compatibility with 5F-6F guiding catheters. Available in Rapid-exchange (Rx) and Over-The-Wire (OTW) configurations. Sterilization via Ethylene Oxide (EO). Materials and dimensions are optimized for peripheral vasculature. No software or electronic components.

Indications for Use

Indicated for Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty in peripheral vasculature (iliac, femoral, ilio-femoral, popliteal, infra-popliteal, renal arteries) and treatment of obstructive lesions in native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae in adults.

Regulatory Classification

Identification
