Indications for Use

For in vitro diagnostic use only. VITROS TDM Performance Verifiers are designed for use in assessing bias (mean) and impersion (standard deviation) for each reagent lot. Published values are derived from interlaboratory performance data. This fluid should be assayed in the same manner as a patient sample. The reported values can then be compared with those given on the assay sheet.

Device Story

VITROS Chemistry Products TDM Performance Verifiers are in vitro diagnostic control fluids; used by laboratory professionals to monitor assay performance. The verifiers are processed identically to patient samples on the VITROS chemistry system. The device provides known reference values for bias and imprecision assessment; users compare measured results against provided assay sheet values to verify reagent lot performance. This process ensures analytical accuracy and consistency in therapeutic drug monitoring, supporting reliable clinical decision-making for patient medication management.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data; bench testing only. Performance verified through interlaboratory data analysis to establish bias and imprecision values.

Technological Characteristics

In vitro diagnostic control fluid; liquid form; designed for use with VITROS chemistry systems. No specific materials or software algorithms described.

Indications for Use

Indicated for in vitro diagnostic use to assess bias and imprecision of reagent lots for Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) assays in clinical laboratory settings.

Regulatory Classification

Identification

A clinical toxicology control material is a device intended to provide an estimation of the precision of a device test system and to detect and monitor systematic deviations from accuracy resulting from reagent or instrument defects. This generic type of device includes various single, and multi-analyte control materials.
