Indications for Use

The Shield Activated Factor XI I (FXIIa) assay is a semi-quantitative direct enzyme immunoassay for the detection, in human citrated plasma, of activated factor X11 (x-X1 la and B- X11a). The test may be used as an index of activation of the contact (intrinsic) system of coagulation

Device Story

The Shield Activated Factor XII (FXIIa) ELISA is an in vitro diagnostic assay. It utilizes enzyme immunoassay technology to detect activated factor XII (alpha-FXIIa and beta-FXIIa) in human citrated plasma samples. The device functions as a semi-quantitative index for assessing the activation state of the contact (intrinsic) coagulation system. It is intended for professional use in clinical laboratory settings. Healthcare providers use the resulting semi-quantitative values to evaluate coagulation system status, aiding in the clinical assessment of patients with suspected contact system activation.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided in the document; bench testing only.

Technological Characteristics

Semi-quantitative direct enzyme immunoassay (ELISA). Analyte: activated factor XII (alpha-FXIIa and beta-FXIIa). Sample matrix: human citrated plasma. Principle: immunological detection of coagulation factors.

Indications for Use

Indicated for the semi-quantitative detection of activated factor XII (alpha-FXIIa and beta-FXIIa) in human citrated plasma to serve as an index of contact (intrinsic) coagulation system activation.
