Device Story

KMC Ultra-Sil Scar Management System is a thin, soft silicone elastomer sheet for external, non-invasive management of healed keloid and hypertrophic scars. Applied by patient to scar area with 1/2 inch overlap. Usage protocol involves gradual increase in contact time, starting at 2-3 hours, increasing by 1 hour daily until reaching 8 hours, with a recommended 20-hour daily application. Device provides physical barrier/occlusion to scar site to assist in management.
