Device Story

The Konan Noncon Robo Specular Microscope (Models Sp 6000, Sp 8000) is an AC-powered slitlamp biomicroscope used for the examination of the corneal endothelium. It captures specular reflection images of the corneal endothelial cells. The device is operated by eye care professionals in a clinical setting. The captured images allow clinicians to visualize and assess the morphology and density of endothelial cells, aiding in the diagnosis and management of corneal conditions. The device provides high-magnification visualization of the corneal endothelium, facilitating clinical decision-making regarding corneal health and surgical suitability.
