## Indications for Use

The TeKBrace Solo Soft Tissue Reinforcement Device is a single use device intended for reinforcement of soft tissues that are repaired by suture or other fixation devices during tendon and ligament repair surgery including reinforcement of rotator cuff, patellar, Achilles, biceps, quadriceps tendon, medial collateral ligament, lateral collateral ligament, spring ligament, deltoid ligament, ulnar collateral ligament or other tendons or extra-articular ligaments. The TeKBrace Solo Soft Tissue Reinforcement Device is not intended to replace normal body structure or provide the full mechanical strength to support the rotator cuff, patellar, Achilles, biceps, quadriceps tendon, medial collateral ligament, lateral collateral ligament, spring ligament, deltoid ligament, ulnar collateral ligament or other tendons or extra-articular ligaments. Sutures, used to repair the tear, and sutures or other fixation devices, used to attach the tissue to the bone, provide mechanical strength for the repair.

TeKBrace Solo is a non-resorbable, single-use surgical mesh device; central tubular weave tape design tapering to cords at both ends. Used by surgeons during tendon and ligament repair procedures to reinforce soft tissue; does not replace native structure or provide primary mechanical strength; primary strength provided by sutures/fixation devices. Subject device adds crimped needles to implant cords to assist surgical technique; needles are not implanted. Device manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

We have reviewed your section 510(k) premarket notification of intent to market the device referenced above and have determined the device is substantially equivalent (for the indications for use stated in the enclosure) to legally marketed predicate devices marketed in interstate commerce prior to May 28, 1976, the enactment date of the Medical Device Amendments, or to devices that have been reclassified in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA). You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. Although this letter refers to your product as a device, please be aware that some cleared products may instead be combination products. The 510(k) Premarket Notification Database available at https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfpmn/pmn.cfm identifies combination product submissions. The general controls provisions of the Act include requirements for annual registration, listing of devices, good manufacturing practice, labeling, and prohibitions against misbranding and adulteration. Your device is also subject to, among other requirements, the Quality Management System Regulation (QMSR) (21 CFR Part 820), which includes, but is not limited to, ISO 13485 clause 7.3 (Design controls), ISO 13485 clause 8.3 (Nonconforming product), ISO 13485 clause 8.5.2 (Corrective action), and ISO 13485 clause 8.5.3 (Preventative action). The TheraMicro TeKBrace Solo Soft Tissue Reinforcement Device is a single use device intended to be used for reinforcement of soft tissue. The product is offered in a central tubular weave tape that tapers down to cords at both ends. The implant is available in multiple size configurations.

This submission introduces additional device configurations that vary in length and width. The product is offered in a central tubular weave tape that tapers down to cords at both ends. The product is substantially equivalent in material and manufacturing compared to the TeKBrace Solo Soft Tissue Reinforcement Device (K251063 & K261621). The TeKBrace solo configurations included in this submission are similar to the existing TheraMicro TeKBrace Solo device in intended use, material and design, including a central tubular section tapering down to cords at the end. The devices in this submission differ from the previously cleared devices in that the devices will come with needles crimped to the implant cords and will be sterilized via Ethylene Oxide. The needles are used during the surgical technique and are not implanted

The subject TeKBrace Solo Soft Tissue Reinforcement Device is substantially equivalent to the predicate TeKBrace Solo Soft Tissue Reinforcement Device (K261621 & K251063) in materials, manufacturing, and indications for use. The subject components are substantially equivalent to the primary predicate in indications, manufacturing, and materials. TeKBrace Solo is similar to predicate in design with the only difference being the addition of a needle on the ends, which is only used for the surgical technique and is not implanted. Additionally, the subject device is provided sterile via EO sterilization rather than gamma irradiation. These insignificant differences do not introduce a new worst case condition and therefore, the subject is substantially equivalent to the predicate device.

## Performance Testing:

The changes to the predicate resulting in the subject device do not introduce a new worst case condition. Therefore, testing performed on the predicate device (K261621) remains representative of

the worst case condition. The change in sterilization method is not expected to negatively impact device performance. Therefore, no additional performance testing is needed.
