Indications for Use

Device Story

Artix™ MT is a single-use, over-the-wire embolectomy catheter; Artix™ Thin-Walled Sheath acts as a conduit and aspiration system. Used in peripheral vasculature; operated by clinicians. Procedure: Sheath inserted over-the-wire; Artix MT advanced through sheath to target thrombus; self-expanding element deployed by retracting delivery catheter; thrombus engaged and removed by retracting device into sheath. Funnel catheter accessory provides temporary vascular occlusion to aid clot ingestion. 30 mL syringe used for aspiration and fluid infusion. System withdrawn upon completion. Benefits: minimally invasive thrombus removal.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical or animal testing required. Substantial equivalence supported by non-clinical bench testing including shelf-life, packaging, visual/dimensional inspections, simulated use, hydrophilic coating integrity, hemostasis, tensile, particulate, liquid leakage, burst, radial force, vacuum testing, flow rate, kink torque, and continuous bend testing.

Technological Characteristics
