The Kentrospine Viktr-MIS® Pedicle screw system is intended for posterior, non-cervical fixation as an adjunct to fusion for skeletally mature patients for rigid fixation and stability with following indications: Degenerative disc disease (defined as back pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies); Spondylolisthesis; Trauma (i.e., fracture or dislocation); Spinal stenosis; Curvatures (i.e., scoliosis, kyphosis and/or lordosis); Tumor; Pseudarthrosis; and/or failed previous fusion. The Kentrospine Viktr-MIS® Pedicle screw system can be used in an open approach and a percutaneous approach with Kentrospine Viktr-MIS® Pedicle screw system instruments.

## Device Story

Posterior spinal fixation system; provides immobilization and stabilization of thoracic, lumbar, and sacral spinal segments as an adjunct to fusion. Components include polyaxial cannulated pedicle screws, long tab cannulated pedicle screws, locking caps, and rods (straight or pre-contoured). Used in open or percutaneous surgical approaches; implanted by surgeons to build constructs for rigid fixation. Benefits patients by stabilizing spinal segments to promote fusion in cases of instability or deformity. Supplied non-sterile; requires end-user sterilization.

## Clinical Evidence

No clinical data. Substantial equivalence demonstrated via non-clinical bench testing, including static/dynamic compression, tension, and torsional testing per ASTM F1717-21 and ASTM F1798-24.

## Technological Characteristics

Implant components: Ti6Al4V ELI titanium alloy (ASTM F136-13(2021)). Instruments: SAE 316L stainless steel (ASTM F899-20). System includes polyaxial cannulated screws (diameters 5.5-7.5mm, lengths 25-50mm) and rods (5.5mm diameter, 40-300mm lengths). Non-sterile; requires end-user sterilization. Mechanical performance validated via ASTM F1717-21 and ASTM F1798-24.

## Regulatory Identification

(1) Rigid pedicle screw systems are comprised of multiple components, made from a variety of materials that allow the surgeon to build an implant system to fit the patient's anatomical and physiological requirements. Such a spinal implant assembly consists of a combination of screws, longitudinal members (e.g., plates, rods including dual diameter rods, plate/rod combinations), transverse or cross connectors, and interconnection mechanisms (e.g., rod-to-rod connectors, offset connectors).(2) Semi-rigid systems are defined as systems that contain one or more of the following features (including but not limited to): Non-uniform longitudinal elements, or features that allow more motion or flexibility compared to rigid systems.

## Special Controls
