Indications for Use

The Prevena™ Restor™ Adapti-Form™ Dressing is part of the Prevena™ Restor™ Incision Management System and is intended to manage the environment of surgical incisions that continue to drain following sutured or stapled closure by maintaining a closed environment and removing exudate via the application of negative pressure wound therapy.

Device Story

Prevena™ Restor™ Adapti-Form™ Dressing is a customizable dressing component of the Prevena™ Restor™ Incision Management System. It manages surgical incision environments by maintaining a closed system and removing exudate via negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). The dressing consists of a foam interface, V.A.C. drape, SensaT.R.A.C. pad, and hydrocolloid sealing strips. It is applied in an operating room or surgery center and may transition home with the patient. The dressing is designed to be cut and customized by the clinician to fit linear, non-linear, or intersecting incisions across various anatomical locations. It connects to compatible NPWT therapy units (Prevena Plus, ActiV.A.C., V.A.C. ULTA, or V.A.C. Rx4) which provide the vacuum source. By maintaining a closed environment and removing fluid, the device aims to manage the incision site, potentially benefiting the patient by supporting the healing environment of the surgical wound.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data was required. Substantial equivalence was demonstrated through non-clinical bench testing, including negative pressure performance, package integrity/stability (ISO 11607-1), product performance stability post-sterilization, human factors evaluation, and biocompatibility (ISO 10993-1).

Technological Characteristics

Customizable dressing kit including foam interface, V.A.C. drape, SensaT.R.A.C. pad, and hydrocolloid sealing strips. Operates via negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) using external therapy units. Sterilized via gamma radiation (SAL 10^-6). Biocompatibility per ISO 10993-1. Packaging per ISO 11607-1.

Indications for Use

Indicated for management of surgically closed incisions that continue to drain following sutured or stapled closure in patients requiring negative pressure wound therapy.

Regulatory Classification
