Estar-Z is a pre-sintered yttrium-stabilized zirconium oxide ceramic block; used by dental professionals to manufacture dental restorations (inlays, artificial teeth, crowns, bridges). The device is milled and then sintered in a furnace to produce the final polycrystalline tetragonal zirconium oxide (TZP) ceramic restoration. It is provided in non-sterile disk form in various shades and thicknesses. The device is used in a dental laboratory or clinical setting; the output is a custom-milled dental prosthesis. The final restoration replaces missing or damaged tooth structure, benefiting the patient by restoring dental function and aesthetics.

No clinical data. Substantial equivalence is supported by bench testing, including mechanical property testing (flexural strength) per ISO 6872:2015 and ISO 13356:2015, and biocompatibility evaluation per ISO 10993 and ISO 7405 standards.

## Biocompatibility Evaluation
Biocompatibility evaluation of proposed Estar- Z was considered followed the FDA Guidance Document Use of International Standard ISO 10993-1, "Biological evaluation of medical devices – Part 1: Evaluation and testing within a risk management process," ISO 7405 and the ISO 10993 suite of standards. The biocompatibility for the proposed device was found to be substantially equivalent to the predicate devices as a result.
### Sterilization Validation and Shelf-life
Proposed Estar-Z is delivered in non-sterile status and this device is unnecessary of sterilization prior to use. Therefore, sterilization was not considered.
### Mechanical Properties
Proposed Estar-Z has been designed and tested in accordance with ISO 6872 Dentistry - Ceramic Materials and ISO 13356 Implants for surgery - Ceramic materials based on yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia (Y-TZP). All tests have passed the evaluation criteria and met the requirement of product-specific ISO 6872 specifies for Class 4b and Class 5 dental ceramics. The mechanical properties were found to be substantially equivalent to the predicate devices as a result.

No clinical studies are submitted.
## 9. Conclusion
The conclusions drawn from the nonclinical and clinical tests that demonstrate that Estar-Z is as safe, as effective, and performs as well as the legally marketed predicate device.

3. Judging fuzzy relevance
Fuzzy results trail off in relevance as you scroll. Use three signals to decide how far down to go: the fuzzy badge explanations, the intended use column, and whether your target output (e.g., Cobb angle) still appears in the AI Performance sub-table. Once it stops appearing, you're past the relevant zone. A top hit with a low score (~0.4) and a stretched explanation is a hint the closest predicates are far away — the project may be headed for De Novo. Note the fuzzy search is a pattern match: it doesn't handle negation ("not") well, and hardware devices can appear — filter by SaMD/AI ML to cut them.

4. Device detail page: chat and citations
Click a device name to open its detail page: device facts on the left, a chat window on the right. Ask something like "Describe the training data". 5. Side-by-side comparison

7. Product codes and the regulations tree
Click a product code in the results to jump to it in the regulations tree — identification text, sibling product codes, and devices you can open in a PDF viewer on the right. 8. Chart view

9. The predicate graph

10. Embeddings: the galaxy map
The Embeddings tab plots every matching document in a 2-D "galaxy map" where semantically similar devices cluster together. Hover or click clusters to explore, and let AI label the clusters for you. Embeddings beat product codes for grouping: two devices can carry different product codes (LLZ vs. QIH) yet do the same thing — the embedding captures the meaning of the intended use and device story. This is also exactly how retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) works under the hood, and it makes a great visual on client calls.
