JO H2O Jelly Original Personal Lubricant is a clear, viscous, water-based gel; applied topically to penile, anal, or vaginal areas to supplement natural lubrication and enhance comfort during sexual activity. Provided in 4 oz. polyethylene tubes with polypropylene flip-top caps. Intended for over-the-counter use by consumers. The lubricant acts as a physical barrier/moisturizer; it is compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms but not polyurethane. The device is non-sterile and shelf-stable for two years.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Biocompatibility testing performed per ISO 10993-5, -10, and -11 (cytotoxicity, sensitization, vaginal/penile irritation, acute systemic toxicity). Shelf-life validated via real-time and accelerated aging studies over 2 years. Condom compatibility tested per ASTM D7661-10.
Technological Characteristics
Water-based viscous gel; ingredients include Glycerine USP, Natrosol 250 HHX, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Water, Norsene 100, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid. Viscosity 15,500-35,000 cps; pH 4.00-5.00. Non-sterile. Packaged in polyethylene tubes with polypropylene caps. Tested per USP <51>, <61>, <62>, <1111> for microbial safety and ASTM D7661-10 for condom compatibility.

Indicated for individuals requiring personal lubrication for penile, anal, and/or vaginal application to enhance comfort during sexual activity. Compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms; contraindicated for use with polyurethane condoms.

Identification
A condom is a sheath which completely covers the penis with a closely fitting membrane. The condom is used for contraceptive and for prophylactic purposes (preventing transmission of sexually transmitted infections). The device may also be used to collect semen to aid in the diagnosis of infertility.

The subject and predicate device have similar indications for use. The indication for the subject device has been expanded to also include anal use. This change does not represent a new intended use as the intended use of this device is the same as the predicate device, i.e., lubrication of an orifice during intimate sexual activity. The subject and predicate device have similar technological characteristics, including similar formulation. The different technological characteristics of the subject device do not raise different types of safety and effectiveness questions.

## Biocompatibility
Biocompatibility studies, including Acute Systemic Toxicity, Vaginal Irritation Testing, Penile Irritation Testing, Cytotoxicity and Sensitization testing were performed in accordance with the 2016 FDA guidance document Use of International Standard ISO 10993-1, "Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices - Part 1: Evaluation and testing within a risk management process" and ISO 10993- 1:2009 as follows:

## Shelf-Life
The subject device is a non-sterile personal lubricant with a two-year shelf-life in accordance with the results of a real time and accelerated aging study. All device specifications listed in Table 1 were tested at 0, 1 and 2 years. The subject device met the device specifications at all time points.
#### Condom Compatibility
The compatibility of the subject device with natural rubber latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane condoms was evaluated in accordance with ASTM D7661-10 Standard Test Method for Determining Compatibility of Personal Lubricants with Natural Rubber Latex Condoms. The results of this test indicated that JO H2O Jelly Original Personal Lubricant is compatible with natural rubber latex and polyisoprene condoms. This device is not compatible with polyurethane condoms.
#### 10. Conclusion
The results of the performance testing described above demonstrate that the JO H2O Jelly Original Personal Lubricant is as safe and effective as the predicate device and supports a determination of substantial equivalence.

1. Search: exact and fuzzy
Type a phrase like "coronary artery calcification" into the search box. You get two kinds of results. Exact results match the literal phrase — prefix searches work ("coronary artery calcificati") but suffix searches do not. Fuzzy results match on the meaning and intent of your phrase rather than the exact words, and are sorted by relevance score. Hover over the Exact or Fuzzy badge on any row to see exactly why it matched.

3. Judging fuzzy relevance
Fuzzy results trail off in relevance as you scroll. Use three signals to decide how far down to go: the fuzzy badge explanations, the intended use column, and whether your target output (e.g., Cobb angle) still appears in the AI Performance sub-table. Once it stops appearing, you're past the relevant zone. A top hit with a low score (~0.4) and a stretched explanation is a hint the closest predicates are far away — the project may be headed for De Novo. Note the fuzzy search is a pattern match: it doesn't handle negation ("not") well, and hardware devices can appear — filter by SaMD/AI ML to cut them.

Use the relevancy signals: the fuzzy badge explanations, the intended use column, and whether the target output (e.g., Cobb angle) still appears in the AI Performance sub-table. Once it stops appearing, results are trailing off in relevancy.
4. Device detail page: chat and citations
Click a device name to open its detail page: device facts on the left, a chat window on the right. Ask something like "Describe the training data". The answer carries little citation bubbles — click one to jump to the highlighted passage in the source PDF, so you can verify every AI answer against the document. 5. Side-by-side comparison
Select multiple rows in the results table (aim for under ~10), then open the PDF Viewer tab. Ask one question — it goes to all selected devices in parallel, each with citations. 7. Product codes and the regulations tree

Always read the special controls if any exist for your device — it broadens your search and sharpens pre-kickoff research.

8. Chart view

9. The predicate graph
Open the Predicates tab for a family-tree view of predicate relationships. Click a node to trace its parents and children; selections from search carry over pre-selected. The visual lineage is also handy on client calls, e.g. to show how a predicate family evolved and justify why your predicate still holds.

10. Embeddings: the galaxy map
The Embeddings tab plots every matching document in a 2-D "galaxy map" where semantically similar devices cluster together. Hover or click clusters to explore, and let AI label the clusters for you. Embeddings beat product codes for grouping: two devices can carry different product codes (LLZ vs. QIH) yet do the same thing — the embedding captures the meaning of the intended use and device story. This is also exactly how retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) works under the hood, and it makes a great visual on client calls.
