Device Story
CONOD Enteral Feeding Sets consist of three models: feeding pump set, gravity feeding set, and safety spike plus pump set. Sets include a 1200ml formula bag (for pump/gravity sets) or a piercing spike (for spike sets), tubing, drip chamber, roller clamp, and distal tip ENFit connectors. Device interfaces with patient feeding tubes to deliver liquid nutrition at a user-controlled rate via gravity or enteral feeding pump. Used in clinical or home settings by healthcare providers or patients/caregivers. Single-use, non-sterile, disposable device. Provides controlled nutritional delivery to patients unable to ingest food orally.
Clinical Evidence
No clinical studies were conducted. Substantial equivalence is supported by bench testing, including biocompatibility (ISO 10993-1, -5, -10) and performance testing (EN 1615, ISO 80369-3, ISO 11737, IEC 62366) covering fluid leakage, stress cracking, resistance to separation, tensile properties, flow rate, and bioburden.
Technological Characteristics
Non-DEHP materials. Features ISO 80369-3:2016 compliant ENFit connectors. Includes tubing, drip chamber, roller clamp, and 1200ml bag or piercing spike. Single-use, non-sterile. 5-year shelf life. No electronic components or software.
Indications for Use
Indicated for infants, children, adolescents, and adults requiring enteral nutrition delivery via gravity or pump-assisted feeding sets.

A gastrointestinal tube and accessories is a device that consists of flexible or semi-rigid tubing used for instilling fluids into, withdrawing fluids from, splinting, or suppressing bleeding of the alimentary tract. This device may incorporate an integral inflatable balloon for retention or hemostasis. This generic type of device includes the hemostatic bag, irrigation and aspiration catheter (gastric, colonic, etc.), rectal catheter, sterile infant gavage set, gastrointestinal string and tubes to locate internal bleeding, double lumen tube for intestinal decompression or intubation, feeding tube, gastroenterostomy tube, Levine tube, nasogastric tube, single lumen tube with mercury weight balloon for intestinal intubation or decompression, and gastro-urological irrigation tray (for gastrological use).
Special Controls
*Classification.* (1) Class II (special controls). The barium enema retention catheter and tip with or without a bag that is a gastrointestinal tube and accessory or a gastronomy tube holder accessory is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to the limitations in § 876.9.(2) Class I (general controls) for the dissolvable nasogastric feed tube guide for the nasogastric tube. The class I device is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to § 876.9.

The CONOD Enteral Feeding Sets have three models, CONOD safety spike plus pump set, CONOD gravity feeding set and CONOD feeding pump set. The CONOD Feeding Pump Set (1200ml) and gravity feeding set both have a structure of a 1200ml formula bag with 100ml graduations and a protective closure cap. The difference is the former is droved by pump and the latter is droved by gravity. #### Biocompatibility testing
The biocompatibility evaluation for the CONOD Enteral Feeding Sets was conducted in accordance with the International Standard ISO 10993-1:2009, "Biological evaluation of medical devices - Part 1: Evaluation and testing within a risk management process" as recognized by FDA. The biocompatible testing included the following tests:
- Cytotoxicity
- Sensitization
- Skin Irritation
The CONOD Enteral Feeding Sets are considered to contact indirectly with the human body for a duration of less than 24 hours. Testing for cytotoxicity, sensitization and skin irritation complied with ISO 10993-5:2009, Biological evaluation of medical devices -Part 5: Tests for In Vitro cytotoxicity and ISO 10993-10: 2010, Biological evaluation of medical devices - Part 10: Tests for irritation and skin sensitization. Testing demonstrates that the materials are non-cytotoxic, non-sensitizing, and non-irritating.

1. Search: exact and fuzzy
Type a phrase like "coronary artery calcification" into the search box. You get two kinds of results. Exact results match the literal phrase — prefix searches work ("coronary artery calcificati") but suffix searches do not. Fuzzy results match on the meaning and intent of your phrase rather than the exact words, and are sorted by relevance score. Hover over the Exact or Fuzzy badge on any row to see exactly why it matched.

3. Judging fuzzy relevance
Fuzzy results trail off in relevance as you scroll. Use three signals to decide how far down to go: the fuzzy badge explanations, the intended use column, and whether your target output (e.g., Cobb angle) still appears in the AI Performance sub-table. Once it stops appearing, you're past the relevant zone. A top hit with a low score (~0.4) and a stretched explanation is a hint the closest predicates are far away — the project may be headed for De Novo. Note the fuzzy search is a pattern match: it doesn't handle negation ("not") well, and hardware devices can appear — filter by SaMD/AI ML to cut them.
How do you judge how far down fuzzy search results to go?
Use the relevancy signals: the fuzzy badge explanations, the intended use column, and whether the target output (e.g., Cobb angle) still appears in the AI Performance sub-table. Once it stops appearing, results are trailing off in relevancy.
4. Device detail page: chat and citations
Click a device name to open its detail page: device facts on the left, a chat window on the right. Ask something like "Describe the training data". 5. Side-by-side comparison

8. Chart view

9. The predicate graph

10. Embeddings: the galaxy map
The Embeddings tab plots every matching document in a 2-D "galaxy map" where semantically similar devices cluster together. Hover or click clusters to explore, and let AI label the clusters for you. Embeddings beat product codes for grouping: two devices can carry different product codes (LLZ vs. QIH) yet do the same thing — the embedding captures the meaning of the intended use and device story. This is also exactly how retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) works under the hood, and it makes a great visual on client calls.
