Indications for Use

The FINESSE+ and FINESSE II+ are intended to deliver high frequency electrical current for surgical procedures that can be performed with monopolar cutting and/or coagulation of tissue. One intended use of the FINESSE+ and FINESSE II+ systems is Loop Excision of the Transformation Zone (LETZ®).

Device Story

Finesse 3rd Generation is an integrated electrosurgical generator and smoke evacuation system. It delivers high-frequency electrical current for monopolar tissue cutting and coagulation. Used in clinical settings for short-duration procedures, including LETZ. The system comprises two models: FINESSE+ (with adjustable features) and FINESSE II+ (simplified). It improves upon previous generations by incorporating enhanced protection against excessive output and an interface for a monitoring neutral electrode to comply with updated safety standards. The device provides surgeons with a combined tool for tissue management and smoke removal, potentially improving procedural efficiency and safety.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only. The device was certified for compliance with ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1:2005, AAMI/ANSI/IEC 60601-1-2:2007, and AAMI/ANSI/IEC 60601-2-2:2009 standards.

Technological Characteristics

Integrated electrosurgical generator and smoke evacuation system. Class I type BF device. Features include high-frequency electrical output, monitoring neutral electrode interface, and improved output protection circuitry. Complies with AAMI/ANSI ES 60601-1:2005 and AAMI/ANSI/IEC 60601-2-2:2009.

Indications for Use

Indicated for surgical procedures requiring monopolar cutting and/or coagulation of tissue, including Loop Excision of the Transformation Zone (LETZ).

Regulatory Classification

Identification
