Device Story

Or-Light® is a non-coherent intense pulsed light (IPL) system for dermatologic and aesthetic treatments. Device consists of a console with a power unit, electronic/software controls, and a touch-screen interface. Two interchangeable applicators (HR: 610-1000 nm; SR: 400-1000 nm) deliver light energy to the skin. Applicators feature an integrated closed-circuit water cooling system. Operated by trained skin professionals in clinical settings. Operator selects settings via touch screen to deliver light pulses. Clinical benefit includes hair removal and treatment of benign skin lesions/acne. Device output is controlled by internal software and electronics.

Clinical Evidence

Clinical data demonstrate the device can be used effectively and safely by a trained skin professional. No specific study metrics (e.g., sensitivity, specificity) provided in the summary.

Technological Characteristics
