Indications for Use

The Prostate Tissue Marker is indicated for use to radiographically mark prostate tissue.

Device Story

Prostate Tissue Marker consists of pure gold marker, two resorbable PLA/PGA pellets, and PEG plug housed in 17 Ga disposable beveled needle applicator. Device used by physicians to mark prostate tissue sites. Gold marker provides long-term radiographic visibility; pellets provide short-term ultrasound visibility (approx. 4 weeks) before resorption (approx. 12 weeks). Device facilitates precise localization of prostate tissue for clinical procedures.

Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Act) that do not require approval of a premarket approval application (PMA), You may, therefore, market the device, subject to the general controls provisions of the Act. The general controls provisions of the Act include requirements for annual registration, listing of devices, good manufacturing practice, labeling, and prohibitions against misbranding and adulteration. If your device is classified (see above) into either class II (Special Controls) or class III (PMA), it may be subject to such additional controls.
