Dimension Vista" APOAI Flex® reagent cartridge: The APOAI method is an in vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative determination of apolipoprotein A-1 in human serum, heparinized plasma or EDTA plasma on the Dimension Vista® System. Measurements of apolipoprotein A-I aid in the diagnosis and treatment of lipid disorders, various liver and renal diseases and in the assessment of risk for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Dimension Vista™ APOB Flex® reagent cartridge: The APOB method is an in vitro diagnostic test for the quantitative determination of apolipoprotein B in human serum, heparinized plasma or EDTA plasma on the Dimension Vista System. Measurements of apolipoprotein B aid in the diagnosis and treatment of lipid disorders, various liver and renal diseases and in the assessment of risk for atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Dimension Vista™ Apolipoprotein Calibrator: The APO CAL is an in vitro diagnostic product for the calibration of the apolipoprotein A-I (APOAI) and apolipoprotein B (APOB) methods on the Dimension Vista® System. Dimension Vista™ Apolipoprotein Control: APO CON is an assayed intralaboratory quality control for assessment of precision and analytical bias in determination of apolipoprotein A-I (APOAI) and apolipoprotein B (APOB) on the Dimension Vista® System.
Device Story
The Dimension Vista™ APOA1 and APOB Flex® reagent cartridges are in vitro diagnostic assays used on the Dimension Vista® System. The system utilizes an immunochemical reaction where proteins in human body fluids (serum, heparinized/EDTA plasma) form immune complexes with specific antibodies. These complexes scatter a beam of light; the intensity of scattered light is proportional to the protein concentration. Results are evaluated against a standard of known concentration. The system includes a lyophilized human serum-based calibrator and an assayed intralaboratory quality control. The device is operated by laboratory professionals in a clinical setting. Output is a quantitative concentration value used by clinicians to diagnose and treat lipid disorders, liver and renal diseases, and assess cardiovascular risk.
Clinical Evidence
Bench testing only. Precision evaluated per CLSI EP5-A2 (repeatability 1.4-6.4% CV; within-lab 2.6-7.2% CV). Linearity confirmed across reportable ranges (19-600 mg/dL for APOAI; 26-400 mg/dL for APOB) with 92-111% recovery. Interference testing per CLSI EP7-A2 showed no significant interference from hemoglobin, bilirubin, common drugs, rheumatoid factor (up to 1400 IU/mL), or total protein (up to 13.8 g/dL). Method comparison against BN ProSpec system showed high correlation (r=0.997 for APOAI; r=0.995 for APOB). Matrix equivalence demonstrated for serum, EDTA, and heparinized plasma.
