Indications for Use

The indications for use of ACCULOC Breast Localization System (formerly MAMMOLOC) are lesions requiring extracranial stereotactic radiotherapy or radiosurgery to the breast. The software is used to determine the precise location of the target with respect to implanted fiducials.

Device Story

ACCULOC Breast Localization System (formerly MAMMOLOC) facilitates precise targeting for breast radiotherapy/radiosurgery. System utilizes implanted fiducials to mark lesion sites. Software processes spatial data to determine target location relative to these fiducials. Used in clinical settings by medical professionals to guide radiation delivery. Benefits include enhanced accuracy in target localization for stereotactic procedures.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided; bench testing only.

Technological Characteristics

System for stereotactic localization using implanted fiducials. Includes software for spatial coordinate calculation. Class II device (21 CFR 892.5050).

Indications for Use

Indicated for patients with breast lesions requiring extracranial stereotactic radiotherapy or radiosurgery.
