The RET-He parameter is an analytical feature for the Sysmex XE-2100 Automated Hematology Analyzer. It processes peripheral blood samples collected in EDTA anticoagulant. These signals are processed via a proprietary Sysmex calculation equation to derive the hemoglobin content of reticulocytes. Clinical Evidence

Method comparison study performed on 319 clinical samples, including those with high WBC counts, lipemia, bilirubin, platelet clumps, NRBCs, and various hematological abnormalities. The RET-He parameter showed excellent correlation (r=0.98) with the predicate CHr parameter. Analytical precision (total imprecision) ranged from 1.2% to 4.26% CV, meeting the ≤5% specification.
