The RITA® System is intended for use in percutaneous, laparoscopic, or intraoperative coagulation and ablation of soft tissue, including the partial or complete ablation of non-resectable liver lesions. ## Device Story RITA Clips are a mechanical syringe holder accessory for the Harvard 2 Syringe Pump; increases capacity from two to five 20-cc syringes. Used in clinical settings (percutaneous, laparoscopic, or intraoperative) by physicians to facilitate saline irrigation during soft tissue coagulation and ablation procedures using the RITA Electrosurgical Device. The device does not contact the patient. It enables the delivery of saline through multiple irrigation ports of the electrosurgical device, supporting the ablation of soft tissue lesions. ## Clinical Evidence Bench testing only. Non-patient contacting. ## Regulatory Identification An infusion pump is a device used in a health care facility to pump fluids into a patient in a controlled manner.
