Indications for Use

The Light Tip is intended to concentrate the energy and guide the beam to the bottom of the preparation when curing composite materials. The deep composite will therefore be cured first which strengthens the filling, creates contact points and reduces the contraction gap.

Device Story

Light Tip is a dental accessory designed to concentrate and guide light energy during the curing of composite restorative materials. It functions by directing the light beam to the bottom of a dental preparation, ensuring the deep composite is cured first. This process strengthens the filling, establishes contact points, and minimizes the contraction gap. The device is used in a clinical dental setting by dental professionals. It serves as a passive optical guide to improve the efficacy of light-curing units.

Clinical Evidence

Bench testing only.

Technological Characteristics

Passive optical light-guiding tip; designed for attachment to dental light-curing units; dimensions and material composition not specified; non-electronic; non-software; non-sterile.

Indications for Use

Indicated for use by dental professionals to concentrate energy and guide light beams to the base of dental preparations to facilitate the curing of composite restorative materials.
