Indications for Use

The PDX-2000 Portable Digital X-ray System provides digital image capture for conventional film/screen radiographic examinations. The device is intended to replace radiographic film/screen systems in all general purpose diagnostic procedures.

Device Story

PDX-2000 is a portable digital X-ray system integrating a MinXray portable source generator with a Canon CXDI-22 digital X-ray camera retrofit kit and proprietary Trex adaptations. The device captures X-ray signals to produce digital diagnostic images for general radiography. It is designed for use in clinical settings, including portable table and upright system configurations, operated by healthcare professionals. The system replaces traditional film/screen radiography, enabling digital image capture, storage, and review. This transition to digital imaging facilitates faster diagnostic workflows and potentially reduces patient radiation exposure through improved image processing and elimination of film processing steps.

Clinical Evidence

No clinical data provided; substantial equivalence is based on the integration of legally marketed predicate components.

Technological Characteristics
